Fine Art Portraits & Handcrafted Barnwood Art Uintah Basin Photographer
I am more than a photographer—
I am a storyteller and witness to your legacy.
Through a guided, soul-centered portrait experience,
I help you reconnect with the beauty, strength, and identity
that have always been within you.
Together, we create timeless heirloom images
that celebrate who you are—
and honor the generations who shaped you.
And through Illuminare: Learning to See,
I guide others in learning to see light, meaning, and story for themselves—
deepening not only their photography,
but the way they experience the world.
Your Experience With Me
Every creation begins with a conversation—your story, your vision, your home.
Whether it becomes a portrait, a handcrafted piece, or a step into learning through Illuminare: Learning to See,
I guide you through a thoughtful, intentional process that transforms moments into something lasting.
Together, we slow down, observe, and create with purpose—
turning what is often unseen into timeless works of art and meaningful growth.

I am Sara Postma, an artist and photographer rooted in the Uintah Basin, where my creative journey began in Vernal, UT. With over 28 years of experience, I have evolved my craft beyond the studio—creating handcrafted barnwood art that weaves together reclaimed wood, beadwork, and fine art photography. Each piece in my Through the Grain collection tells a story of resilience, connection, and the beauty found in the imperfect.
